Tokai 1982 Vintage Japanese CBS Style Silver Star Strat Clone Piano Black

Up for grabs is this cool vintage 1982 Tokai Silver Star SS-38. It’s a great looking & playing Piano Black CBS style build. It has an alder body with a maple neck, large resonant headstock, fast neck w/ skunk stripe and 3 bolt neckplate. It has a great looking Indian rosewood fingerboard, 3 ply black scratchplate and black tipped tremolo arm. This one is well along the road to being a real vintage looker. It plays beautifully and the old wood feels very resonant. Nice weight too at 3.57kg so not a boat anchor. The rounded c profile neck is dead straight, truss rod is working fine and years left in the frets. The maple has darkened over the years and looks very cool with some a nice grain fingerprint. There are dings/scratches on the guitar as you’d expect but they are light and nothing bad has ever happened to it. This thing is a dream to play, resonant and balanced and has the classic looks of a true vintage aged Japanese Tokai Strat. It's has been recently set up with Elixir 9s. A very cool guitar.
 
Complete with tremolo arm and vintage Japanese leatherette gigbag. Vintage Japan at it's very best.
