Here is a very early 1990’s Fender Japan (MIJ J-Serial, 1991-92) FujiGen built & factory scalloped 1972 Reissue Stratocaster, very similar to the Yngwie Malmsteen's Strat, although it is a different model with some different specs. Please note, this is Fender FujiGen factory scalloped, not DIY. Model number ST72-86 DSC stamped on both body and neck. It's got a great looking maple fingerboard and the naturally aged Olympic White finish is spot on with the correct white 3-ply scratchplate. Comfortable oval profile neck. The pickups are factory USA Dimarzios with an ST-Current in the middle, just how it came out of FujiGen. The nut is bone (not brass) with a 5-way switch. Structurally and electrically sound. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life in the frets. Great condition for the age with some light playwear as you’d expect but nothing big or heavy, a little paint nick just under the jack socket on the body (pics) and a few small bumps and scrapes commensurate with age. An astoundingly well put together Strat as you'd expect from a FujiGen-era Fender. Complete with rare vintage Japanese leatherette Fender branded gig-bag and tremolo arm. A rare one.
