Greco Vintage 1978 Japanese FujiGen EX800 Exporer (Destroyer 2459) MIJ Japan w/
Vintage 1978 Japanese Greco EX800 Explorer. This is an incredibly well put together Japanese Explorer built at the renowned FujiGen Gakki. This was the same factory that built the Ibanez Destroyer 2459, in fact this 1978 EX800 was built using the same build materials and tooling in the same year that the last of the 2459s were built, it was a short lived continuation of the 2459 under the Greco badge. It is a very cool guitar and plays beautifully, with a good balance and action. No structural or electrical issues just some wear and paint chips here & there as you'd expect. Truss rod fine, neck dead straight and plenty of life left in the frets. The original U-2000 Japanese Maxon PAF clones sound superb, warm, creamy and articulate. Plenty of naturally earned vintage playwear but nothing bad has ever happened to it. No breaks/repairs. Comes with vintage Japanese fitted hardcase. A very tough guitar to find.
