Gibson Vintage 1977 Les Paul Standard Cherry Red with Hardcase

Here is a cool vintage 1977 Gibson Wine Red Les Paul Standard. It’s a great looking old Standard and has at some pint has a nitro refinish. It definatelyhas the look with the plastics and the binding turning yellow which looks great against the wine vibrant cherry finish. Dead straight 3-peice neck, truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Absolutely no breaks or repairs in its history. Has plenty of ager related wear, most notably finish checking and buckle wear on the back. There is cracking in the binding and the original serial has been over sprayed with the refinish (although the original owner insists it is a '77). Three piece neck has a thinner 1960 profile. This one weighs in at a very light 4.1kg. Pickups have been exchanged for Seymour Duncans with an SH-1 in the neck and an SH-4 in the bridge. It has also been refretted in the past. Complete with later 1990's Gibson hardcase which is plenty rooadworn. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story.
