Here is a cool vintage 1977 Gibson Wine Red Les Paul Standard. It’s a great looking old Standard that has at some point had a nitro refinish. It definitely has the look with the plastics and the binding turning a deep yellow which looks great against the vibrant cherry finish. Dead is straight 3-peice neck, truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Absolutely no breaks or repairs in its history. Has plenty of age related wear, most notably finish checking and buckle wear on the back. There is cracking in the binding and the original serial number has been over sprayed with the refinish and is impossible to make out (although the original owner insists it is a '77). Three piece neck has a thinner 1960 profile. This one weighs in at a very light 4.1kg. Pickups have been exchanged for Seymour Duncans with an SH-1 in the neck and an SH-4 in the bridge. It has also been refretted in the past. Complete with later 1990's Gibson hardcase which is plenty roadworn but holding up fine. A very cool old 1970's Gibson Les Paul Standard.
