Gibson Les Paul Standard 2000 Aged Honey Burst Plaintop Non Chambered w/ HS
Here we have a very cool old non-chambered Gibson Les Paul Standard Honey Burst from 2000. It’s a superb looking aged Standard with a real vintage vibe to it. We love this one! It was built in Gibson’s Nashville plant and finished in 2000 which is just before Gibson introduced chambering on their standards (mid 2006) so yep, it’s non-chambered. The neck is smooth and fast and fits comfortably in the hand, necks a little thinner than we usually find on standards, definitely encroaching into '60 territory (although not quite that thin). It has had a headstock break sometime in the past but was repaired well and is strong and sturdy. The rosewood fingerboard is very dark and there's still plenty of life in the frets (never had a refret so still has its fret end binding), the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. No problems either structurally or electrically. Weight is great at 4.4kg. The metal hardware is becoming nicely tarnished lending it a vintage appeal. This Les Paul is 26 years old now and well along the road to being classic vintage looker. Another great feature of this one is the finish checking all over and a little patch of nitro wear reminiscent of 'Greeny'. The pickups are not original and we do not know what they are but they sound fine. Comes with black fitted SKB hardcore with all latches working. This is a rare chance to get your hands on a top quality 2000 Les Paul Standard with a lot of mojo!
