Gibson Les Paul Custom 1996 Very Rare Figured Honeyburst w/ OHSC Yamano

Here is a very rare 2001 Gibson Honeyburst Les Paul Custom. We don's see may Customs with this finish. I've gotta say it looks superb, the figured honeyburst finish with the all gold Custom hardware really works. This particular beauty was built in Gibson’s Nashville plant back in 1996. We get a lot of old Customs through the doors and this has to be one of our favourites of recent times. The top is amazing and was shot over with such a thin nitrocellulose finish that you can actually see the 3D ribbing patterns of the maple flame when holding against light. It's has had just one owner from new and being from 1996 it has an Ebony fingerboard and a pair of amazing sounding 490R & 498T humbuckers. It’s in all original condition just as it came out the Nashville plant. Very clean with absolutely no breaks or repairs, no big paint chips or modifications. It has a comfortable '59 neck profile and weighs in at 4.9kg. Beautiful figured Honey Burst maple top on this one, the pics don’t do it justice. Plenty of life in the frets, the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. No problems either structurally or electrically. Just light playwear & occasional light blemish. The tiny specks you can see in the close up pics are just dust (it was in it's case for a while before we obtained it) and the fine dark line you can see on the back of the neck running up towards the headstock is just an exceptionally cool line in the mahogany grain pattern of the neck. You will always recognise this Custom because of it. It comes with original Yamano export booklet and original pink lined tan Gibson HSC with all latches and combi lock working. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story, this is a very cool old honeyburst custom.
