Gibson Custom Shop Historic VOS 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue Lemon Burst R8

Here is an R8 that thinks it's an R9. Up for grabs is this absolutely beautiful naturally aged 2016 Gibson Custom Shop 1958 (R8) VOS Les Paul Standard Reissue in Lemon Burst. This more than holds its own with any R9 out there. It is one of a limited number of 1958 historics with AAA tops Gibson hand picked exclusively by Japanese retailers. It was sourced and brought back to the UK from Japan. There is all the usual Gibson Custom Shop documentation with this one, including the individual CS booklet etc. No structural or electrical issues whatsoever. Straight thick '58 neck, truss rod fine & plenty of life left in the frets. Some beautiful and noteworthy rosewood grain up and down the fingerboard. The nitrocellulose lacquer has also take on some very nice natural finish checking all over the top. The kind you see the Murphy Lab trying to recreate on brand new guitars. This is all naturally earned. There is also lots of authentic natural ageing over the metal hardware including the pick up covers. Pics were taken as the guitar came in to us. We have cleaned the pots, restrung, set up, polished the frets etc so the aging you see is limited to aesthetics only. Everything works and sounds beautiful on this guitar. There are absolutely no breaks, repairs or modifications. The original Custom Buckers sound great. It is nice and lightweight too at dead on 4kg. Complete with original historic pink velvet crush lined lifton HSC, all working fine. Has had the VOS treatment from the Gibson custom shop so you had the additional light ageing all over from factory to go with the naturally earned looks. There is some wear constant with light use, a some scratches around the edges, a bit of rubbing to the finish here & there. One of the best, most authentic R8's we have had in a while. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story. Pretty much the perfect '58 reissue.
