Up for grabs is this absolutely beautiful 2020 Gibson Custom Shop 1958 (R8) VOS Reissue in Heritage Cherry. This R8 more than holds its own with any R9 out there. It is one of a limited number of ‘Hard Rock Maple' historics with AAA tops Gibson hand picked exclusively by Japanese retailers. Its official booklet title is ‘58LP HRM’. No structural or electrical issues whatsoever. Straight neck, truss rod fine & plenty of life left in the frets. The original Custom Buckers sound superb on this one , giving you everything from vintage honk to beautiful acoustic chime. Of course It is complete with regular case candy inc certificate of authenticity booklet & tags etc. Absolutely no breaks or history of repairs. It's been given a nice subtle nod toward Jimmy Page's No. 1 with the cover removed from the bridge Custom Bucker and gold Grover tuners added. It is nice and lightweight too at just 3.89kg. Complete with original historic pink velvet crush lined lifton HSC, all working fine with key. Has had the VOS treatment from the Gibson custom shop so some light ageing all over. A great looking 1959 reissue from the Gibson Custom shop.
