Forget all the cheap Vandalism replicas made from unbranded Strats, Squiers, Chinese & Mexican guitars. The general consensus is that Kurt's Vandalism Strat was a black 1980's Japanese Fender FujiGen-built Stratocaster. Here is that guitar. This is right-handed not left, but it is basically the exact model that Kurt played. If you're looking for the real deal this is the one to mod with the sticker, tape, pickups & 3-ply guard if authenticity is important. It's the first issue MIJ E-serial built between 1984-'87. It is in fine condition for one of these original Vandalism Strats. There is some playwear commensurate with age but, just dimples, no paint chips etc, it's all just light ageing. The original pickguard still has the original clear plastic protective film on from 40 years ago! Plays beautifully and we have set it up with a medium acton. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, still plenty of life left in the frets. Very resonant with a dark and dense slab rosewood fingerboard (7.25 radius). No breaks or repairs. Weight is very good at 3.5kg. Still has its original backplate. Any bright spots you see are just the reflection from overhead spotlights. Complete with correct black tipped tremolo arm & a very cool original vintage 1980's Japanese leatherette softcase. Don't miss this one as these original 1980's Fender Japan Vandalism Strats don't come up often.
