Fender Japan Vintage 1984 FujiGen Built 1962 Telecaster Custom Reissue MIJ
Here is a very cool vintage early 1980’s FujiGen built Fender 62' RI Telecaster (TL62B- EX) in three tone sunburst finish. It is the earliest pencil dated TL62B we have ever come across. It is dated 18th June 1984. It features all the good stuff. Double bound, lightweight body, very dark slab rosewood 7.25 radius fretboard and heaps of vintage mojo. It’s an MIJ A-Serial. The double body binding has aged beautifully on this Tele, having naturally faded to a deep dark vintage yellow over the decades, it looks superb against the sunburst body (just check the pics, you wont see a cooler looking Fender Tele). It plays great too, nice action with plenty of bite & twang if you want it courtesy of the 3 saddles. The guitar feels very resonant and it’s a great weight at 3.5kg. It’s has 3 spiral saddles, a Fender A-Serial stamped bridge plate and TL vintage pups. No issues either electrically or structurally. A couple changes have been made. It would have originally had a white pickguard but has been exchanged to a black one, the neck plate would have originally been Fender stamped but it now has a blank one and the jack socked has been upgraded. The neck is straight, frets fine and truss rod fine. Being from 1984 it is obviously not new & mint but has some lovely naturally earned playwear. It's ageing very gracefully indeed with no big paint chips etc. The finish looks pretty cool as it is dulled & rubbed in places and lost a lot of its shine. Complete with telecaster hadrcase and key. A very early Fender Japan rarity. Don't miss this one, once it's gone it's gone.
