Fender Japan Telecaster 1952 Reissue Natural Ash CIJ A-Serial 1997

Fender Japan Telecaster 1952 Reissue Natural Ash CIJ A-Serial 1997

£1,135.00Price

Up for grabs is this very pretty old late 90’s Ash 1952 (TL52-TX) reissue Telecaster. Aside from the beautiful ash grain patterns all overt the body It's is also and exceptional player and on the lighter side for a 90's MIJ '52 Tele. It's an A-Serial CIJ which puts the build date between 1997-1998. The clearcoat over the thickly grained ash body is darkening to give it more of a Butterscotch look, nicely offset by the single ply white guard. It's very resonant and feels great to play, plenty of Tele twang and some real bite form the factory fitted USA Texas Specials. Nice medium v neck profile. Has a 7.25" vintage radius fingerboard. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks, repairs or routing. It has some age appropriate vintage wear with some little chips in the topcoat around the edge and some scrapes etc. As mentioned above, weight is very light for an ash Tele at just under 3.22kg. Comes with a Telecaster hardcase with key. Definitely one of the cooler CIJ ‘52s we’ve had in.
