Fender Japan Rare Vintage 1991 FujiGen Built Telecaster Custom 1962 Reissue MIJ

Here is a truly stunning vintage 1991 FujiGen built 1962 reissue Telecaster from Fender Japan. It is an MIJ A-Serial (pencil dated on neck heel under clear coat to 9th July 1991). It is in beautiful condition for such an old TL62B! It has a fully bound lightweight alder body with 3-ply cream pickguard, full cream body binding (now aged to deep yellow), 3 spiral saddles, fender stamped bridge plate and Fender stamped neck plate. It also has a very nice looking slab rosewood fingerboard (vintage 7.25 radius). The USA built US Vintage pickups sound great. Plenty of bite and twang and a great Tele action. Really resonant too when unplugged and feels great to play. Nice and light for one of these at 3.5kg. Structurally and electrically sound. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications, it is all factory stock. It has the looks of a killer vintage Telecaster. The double body binding has naturally aged to yellow and the poly finish is very thin too for these old FujiGens. The finish has naturally dulled around the edges. As I mentioned it's very clean for a 35 year old Telecaster. Obviously some light playwear with a few surface scratches etc but no paint chips etc. The darker line on the neck is just where it's probably sat in a stand long ago, it's just a slight tint in the paint and not feelable. All the good vintage ageing and none of the bad. A beautifully aged Fender with heaps of Mojo and stories to tell. It’s well on the way to being an old stunner. Complete with original Fender Japan booklet, expired Japanese warranty card and store hangtag. And Telecaster hardcase and key. A very cool '62 RI Fender FujiGen Telecaster, this one is definitely a keeper.
