Fender Japan Mustang 1969 Reissue MIJ U-Serial 2010 MG-69 Candy Apple Red

Here is a very nice '69 Reissue U Serial MIJ (2010-2011) Fender Mustang in factory Candy Apple Red with matching headstock. This one is a killer 'stang. Like all MIJ Mustangs it's true to the vintage Fender spec, with the '69 contoured body, 7.25 radius rosewood fingerboard, 3-ply pickguard and Fender stamped neck plate. It plays like a dream and looks great too, big Azusa Nakano vibes! This is a very clean Mustang, we don't usually find them this good. The guitar weighs dead on 3.3kg, and the crisp, clear voice of the instrument when strummed acoustically translates well through the pickup pair. As always, one of the most fun sounds on the Mustang is the out-of-phase setting, engaged when both on/off/on pickup selector switches are at their innermost or outermost points. The quack and spank of that particular setting is unique to the Mustang, and there's plenty of tonal range between the two pickups, with meatier sounds when the neck pickup is singled out. The dark rosewood fretboard features pearl dot inlay and slender fretwire on the 24" scale. The neck on this one is pretty thick for a Fender Japan Mustang and has some pretty cool looking maple flame running up and down it. The truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted. In super clean condition throughout with no paint chips etc. Weight 3.3kg. Neck is dead straight and there is plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound.  Complete with Fende branded softcase and tremolo arm. Built immaculately as you'd expect from Fender Japan. A very nice 1969 vintage specification Mustang in a pretty cool colour.
