Fender FujiGen Japan Telecaster Custom "Order Made" TL62B / TN70-75 Hybrid

Fender FujiGen Japan Telecaster Custom "Order Made" TL62B / TN70-75 Hybrid

£0.00Price

For sale is a stunning, exceptionally rare piece of Fender Japan history: a factory-original 1985–1986 "Order Made" Telecaster. This is not a partscaster. This instrument was built by the legendary FujiGen factory as a special custom order for the Japanese market, functioning as Fender Japan’s internal Custom Shop during the golden era of MIJ production. Both the neck heel and the neck pocket feature matching factory stamps reading "ORDER MADE" alongside the matching internal Kanda Shokai production routing code "KO-252", proving this unique hybrid configuration was born together in the factory.

This guitar beautifully blends two of Fender Japan's most iconic reissue models:

  • The Body (TL62B): A premium 1962 Telecaster Custom reissue body. It features stunning double-binding on the top and back. The finish is in incredible shape, and the binding has naturally aged over the last 40 years into a gorgeous, dark yellow hue.
  • The Neck (TN70-75): A highly desirable 1970 Telecaster Thinline reissue neck. While a standard '62 Custom features a dark rosewood board, the original buyer custom-ordered this guitar with this beautiful, snappy, all-maple '70 Thinline neck. It features a comfortable vintage "C" profile and a 7.25" radius.

Weight: 3.58 kg (approx. 7.9 lbs)
Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition
Year: 1985–1986
Factory: FujiGen, Japan

This guitar dates precisely to the coveted 1985–1986 era. It features the characteristic plain "Made in Japan" stamp on the base of the neck with the 6-digit serial number stamped directly onto the chrome "A-Serial" bridge plate. Built during the famous USA factory transition period when Fender relied entirely on FujiGen to keep the brand afloat, the craftsmanship, woodwork, and attention to detail on this guitar easily rival or surpass American-made models of the same era. For a guitar approaching its 40th anniversary, the condition is very good.

  • Body/Paint: In very good vintage condition with no paint chips—a true rarity for an 80s MIJ guitar.
  • Binding: Completely intact, having aged into a beautiful vintage yellow.
  • Weight: At a highly resonant 3.58 kg (7.9 lbs), it balances perfectly on a strap and offers fantastic acoustic sustain.

The slender C neck is straight, the truss rod is functional, plenty fo life in the frets and the electronics function perfectly, delivering that classic, biting Telecaster twang mixed with the premium feel of a bound custom body.

Dont miss this one. A beautiful mid 80's Fender FujiGen rarity.
