Yamaha Vintage Japanese 1970's SA-60 Natural Finish Hollowbody w/ OHSC

Here we have a beautiful vintage Japanese Yamaha SA-60 circa 1976. These SA-60s don’t come up much. They were the second most expensive guitar Yamano released in the series, only the SA-90 was more expensive. We love this one, it has a deep resonance you feel through you as soon as you begin playing. The pickups seem to channel this too and sound deep and rich. Of course, it is in all original, fully complete condition. It has a nice feeling '59 profile neck. Nothing bad has happened to it. It’s had no breaks/repairs etc. The neck is dead straight, truss rod is working fine and there is plenty of life left in the frets. It has the classic looks of a true vintage aged hollowbody. It is in good condition with the usual little bumps and nicks as you'd expect but no big nasty dings. There is a light depression in the rosewood on the first fret but it doesn't effect play at all. The feeling is well balanced and the action is spot on for one of these. The the original Yamaha humbuckers sound great. Weight is 4.1kg. A beautiful hollowbody. Complete with original vintage Japanese Yamano plated hard case which is a bit tatty (a bit of the case edging is coming lose).

At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special.  All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK
