Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom 1992 Wine Red w/ HSC Ebony Fretboard & Gibson
This is the absolutely top of the range Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom. No rosewood on this ObG Custom. It is one of the rare ObGs with a proper Ebony fingerboard, fret-end binding and Gibson pickups fitted as standard. It has a long neck tenon and the pickups are Gibson 490r/498t humbuckers. It has a comfortable '59 profile neck carve and is complete with a very rare Orville by Gibson branded hardcase. Orville by Gibson made some beautiful Japanese Gibson Les Pauls back in the 1990’s, ObG was fully approved and authorised by Gibson USA. This Les Paul is probably the best appointed ObG Custom we have had in the shop, it represents Japanese craftsmanship at its very best. Looks-wise it is stunning. It has a beautifully carved translucent Cherry top. Mahogany body and neck and it weighs in at a very light 4kg! It has a maple cap with mahogany body and neck. There is plenty of vintage wear, with knocks and bumps and little paint chips etc. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life left in the frets, there have been NO breaks, repairs or mods. Comes complete with a very hard to find original Orville by Gibson hardcase, it excellent condition, fully working and complete with key. All pictures are of actual guitar. A very rare ObG Custom.
