Greco Vintage Japanese SA-550R Semi-Acoustic 1977 Cherry Red w HSC
Up for grabs is this beautiful vintage Japanese 1977 FujiGen-built Greco semi-hollow, it’s a beautiful looking and playing Cherry SA-550R. A real old Japanese lawsuit guitar this one. Beautiful vibe to it. Cherry red with the binding now turned yellow and full of checking, with a lovely streaked dense Rosewood fingerboard (pics). Very well built with a centre block (which doesn’t run length of guitar giving it more of a Casino feel). It has block inlays and original Maxon humbuckers. Nice and light at 3kg. 1960's neck is dead straight, truss rod fine & plenty of life left in the frets. One tone knob has frozen and will need to be looked at. Complete with original pickguard. There have been no breaks or repairs. A very cool vintage Japanese 335. Complete with vintage Japanese 335 hardcase, all latches rusty but woking, although the lifting hinge is broken on the case.
