Greco Vintage Japanese Matsumoku Built TE450 Thinline Telecaster Early 1970's
Here we have a cool and very scarce vintage Japanese Matsumoku built Greco TE450 thinline Telecaster from the early 1970's. This Japanese beauty well on the road to becoming a true vintage classic. We don’t come across many of these; they are superbly built thinlines. Plays nicely, with very resonant old growth tonewoods. The action and balance are spot on. Truss rod fine, lots of life in the frets and neck straight, weight is 3.4kg. This one has had one of the original Greco pickups replaced with a Fender Wide Range Humbucker, they all work well together. Any little fibres you can see on the guitar are just from an old vintage softcase it came in. We have since replaced that particular softcase. This Thinline has plenty of real earned mojo, and is all the better for it. So dont expect a sterile soulless Mexican guitar. A superb vintage Japanese built thinline. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story.
