Greco Vintage Japanese EG700 Single Cutaway 1980 Goldtop Standard w/ Hardcase

Here is a beautiful old vintage 1980 Japanese Greco EG700 Goldtop Les Paul Standard. This one is a real stunner, with a great looking goldtop finish (goldtops are a lot harder to find than the usual EG700 clownbursts you see from this period, there aren’t as many out there). It's traditionally built with maple top and mahogany body and neck, the top has a superb deep carve. The plastics have the authentic vintage yellowing going on and the metal hardware is also nicely tarnished. It has a beautiful looking rosewood board on it (pics!) Straight neck, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets, which have fret end binding (nibs). Weight is on point at 4.2kg. The neck is very comfortable and sits between a '59 & '60 profile carve. The humbuckers are the original Maxons and they sound great as you’d expect. Playwear is definitely on on the lighter side for 46 years old with no big ugly paint chips etc. Nothing bad has ever happened, no breaks, repairs or mods. No issues whatsoever either electrically or structurally. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story. It’s complete with fitted Les Paul hardcase and key.
