Greco Vintage Japanese EG700 Single Cutaway 1978 Goldtop

Here is a beautifully aged vintage Japanese Greco EG700 Goldtop Les Paul Standard. This one is a real old stunner, with a great looking nice goldtop finish (Goldtops are a lot harder to find than the usual EG700 clownbursts you see from this period, there aren’t as many out there). The plastics have some superb authentic vintage yellowing going on and the metal hardware is also nicely tarnished. It’s also worth noting that this one has a beautiful looking rosewood board on it (pics!) Straight neck, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Weight is good at 4.1kg. It has somewhere between a 1959 and 1960 profile neck. Neck is 3-piece and the body is a 70’s pancake construction. The double cream humbuckers are the original 1978 Maxon PU-0s, they sound great as you’d expect.  Plenty of wear of course for over 4 decades old but nothing bad has ever happened, no breaks, repairs or mods. No issues whatsoever either electrically or structurally. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story. It’s complete with padded softcase.
