Greco Vintage Japanese 1978 Super Sounds Ash Stratocaster Olympic White FujiGen
These are the Strats that persuaded Fender to being production at FujiGen Japan. This is a cool vintage 1978 Japanese FujiGen built Greco 'Super Sounds' Stratocaster. A lovely aged natural finish on this one, this Japanese beauty is well along the road to becoming a true vintage classic, with aged Olympic White over an Ash body with off white plastics and nicely tarnished metal hardware. It has a maple neck & dark rosewood fingerboard with a large resonant CBS style headstock. Wonderful sounding Maxon single coil pickups. Lots of natural discolouration. A good weight at 3.6kg. Great condition for an almost 45-year old Greco Strat. Especially one that plays this good! Straight neck, truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Had absolutely no breaks or repairs. Structurally and electrically sound. The pickups sound great, clear and defined. Four of the tuners are missing their ferrules. It is holding tune but you may want to upgrade the tuners at some point. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story. It is complete with tremolo arm and non-original gig bag. A cool finish and wonderful playing vintage Japanese Strat.
