Gibson Vintage 1988 Les Paul Custom Three Pick-Up Black Beauty w/ Original HSC

Here we have some real roadworn rock & roll royalty! It is a vintage 1988 USA Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty with all the vintage mojo you could wish for! It has a dark dense Ebony fingerboard with comfortable ‘59 profile neck and weighs in at 4.6kg. Plenty of life in the frets (it's had a refret at some point), the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. All electrics work perfectly and it's a great player with a very easy, resonant action. Absolutely no breaks or repairs in its history. It was built in Gibson's Nashville factory on May 9th 1988. The middle pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan SH-1, the other 2 look original. The combination sounds fantastic in this old machine. The pick-up covers are silver, whereas all the other hardware is original gold nickel plated, although most is worn off of the tuners. There is buckle wear on the back and general wear all over the guitar. It comes with an original blue lined Gibson Gen III Chainsaw case with all 3 plastic latches strong and working perfectly, has lost it's glue-on badge as you usually see with these Gen III cases. This is a very cool old Les Paul Black Beauty. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story.
