Gibson Vintage 1978 Les Paul Custom w/ Original Chainsaw Case

Here we have a true piece of rock & roll royalty: a vintage 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom. Finished in a stunning vintage burst, it’s far more refined and tasteful than the brighter “clown burst” finishes often seen from this era. The guitar is in excellent condition for its age, displaying a beautifully worn vintage character with no breaks or repairs. It features a dark, dense ebony fingerboard and a comfortable 1959-style neck profile, with a weight of 4.7kg. The frets are in superb condition—original, never refretted, and still retaining their nibs. The neck is straight, the truss rod functions perfectly, and all electronics are in full working order. It’s a fantastic player, offering a resonant tone and smooth, easy action. The neck feels fast and comfortable, with natural wear along the top edge adding to its vintage appeal. There is the expected buckle rash on the back and general signs of playwear, though notably less severe than typically found on instruments of this age. It comes complete with its original blue-lined Gibson “Chainsaw” case, still bearing the Gibson badge (often missing), with all three latches intact and fully functional.
