Fender Mustang '69 Reissue CIJ Q-Serial 2002 Rare Non-Cat Old Lake Placid Blue

£1,595.00Price

Here is a very cool '69 Reissue Q-Serial CIJ (2002) Old Lake Placid Blue Fender Mustang. Only the second one we have ever had at Gas Station Guitars. We get the occasional MIJ/CIJ LPB competition Mustangs (we have one now), but to find a true factory solid LPB non-comp Japanese Mustang is rare, and trust us on this, we get a LOT of Japanese Mustangs! It’s killer looking guitar, it looks kinda weird with no comp stripes, like a naked Teen Spirit Mustang. Anyway, like all MIJ/CIJ Mustangs it's true to the vintage Fender spec, with the '69 contoured body, 7.25 radius rosewood fingerboard, white button tuners, 3-ply pickguard and F stamped neckplate. It plays well, very resonant with plenty of Mustang attitude. The dark rosewood fingerboard is beautifully grained and the neck shows some nice defined maple grain up and down right through to the top of the headstock. There are no mods, breaks or repairs. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. It's very clean and have been well looked after, it even still has the clear protective film covering the pickguard. Comes with original Fender Japan booklet, Japanese shop warranty card (very helpful for provenance as it has the guitar's individual serial number printed on it). Complete with original black tipped tremolo arm & original Fender Japan period correct softcase. Built immaculately as you'd expect from Fender Japan. A very cool ‘69 vintage specification Mustang in a rare finish that's been extremely well looked after.

At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special.  All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK.
