Fender Japan Vintage 1990 FujiGen Telecaster 1952 Reissue Butterscotch Blonde w/

Up for grabs is this very cool vintage 1990 ash bodied 1952 reissue Fender Telecaster. It’s a very early one, made for Fender at the renowned FujiGen Gakki in Japan and pencil dated to 1990 on the neck heel under the clearcoat (MIJ A-Serial). It has just the right amount of of real world vintage wear so if you like shiny new Mexican Fenders stop reading now. If like me you prefer vintage Japanese Fenders with plenty of mojo then this is an absolute no-brainer. That said it is exceptionally clean for the age with no paint chips etc. It's a fantastic looking old warrior with a butterscotch blonde ash body, maple neck and 7.25 radius maple fingerboard. It has a Fender stamped neckplate, brass saddles, A-stamped bridge plate, vintage spec slotted screws and some very nice grain patters on the maple neck and headstock. The old ash is very resonant and feels great to play, with plenty of Tele twang courtesy of the old brass saddles, there's some real bite in this one. Nice and light for an old FujiGen '52 RI Tele at 3.4kg, these old white ash FujiGen Telecasters usually go a lot heavier. Neck dead straight, plenty of life in the frets & truss rod fine. The finish has taken on a dull sheen over the decades which looks very cool. Complete with Telecaster hardcase. Definitely one of the cooler MIJ ‘52 Tele's we’ve had in recently.
