Fender Japan Vintage 1980's Telecaster 1962 Custom RI FujiGen Built Sunburst MIJ

Here for sale is a very old Fender MIJ A serial Three Tone Sunburst 62' RI Custom Telecaster (TL62B). Built at FujiGen Gakki for Fender. This was Fender Japan's top of the line Tele. It has all the good stuff. Double bound alder body, dark rosewood slab fretboard and heaps of vintage mojo. It's date penciled from under the clearcoat on the neck heel but the date is very faint. As it is an A-serial MIJ the date will be somewhere between 1985-1986. The double body binding has aged beautifully on this Tele, having naturally faded to a deep dark cream colour over the decades. It plays great too, nice action with plenty of bite & twang if you want it courtesy of the 3 saddles. The weight is nice and light for an alder Tele at 3.5kg. It's all factory correct with the 3-ply white pickguard, 3 spiral saddles, Fender A-Serial stamped bridge plate and vintage 'Fender' stamped neck plate. It has a 60's U profile neck carve with a 7.25" fingerboard radius. No issues either electrically or structurally. Neck fine, frets fine, truss rod fine. Being from the mid-80's it is not new & not mint with plenty of scrapes, bumps scratches etc. The FujiGen poly looks and feels very thin, which you often find on these late 80’s Teles. It adds to the resonance of this guitar & also looks pretty cool. It comes with a new Telecaster hardcase and key. The case has a bit of a new case smell which, if I'm honest, isn't very nice, but will soon disappear as the case gets used.
