Fender Japan Very Rare Telecaster 62 Custom Reissue CIJ S-Serial 2005-06 Red

One of the things I love so much about Fender Japan are the oddballs that come up from time to time. Here we offer you a Fender Japan 1962 Custom Reissue Telecaster in factory red sparkle finish! I believe there are from a small on/off non-catalogue run back in 2004-2006. It’s a CIJ S-Serial (2005-06). It has an alder body with white 3-ply pickguard, full body binding (which is yellowing nicely), Fender stamped Pat. Pend. bridge with 3-section T8 spiral saddles, USA Texas Special pickups and comfortable oval neck profile with a dark and dense slab rosewood fingerboard (7.25" radius). Some really nice tonewoods were used for this one. Sonically the Texas Specials sound exactly like they should. Plenty of bite and twang. The Tele is really resonant when unplugged and feels great to play. Weight is 3.7kg. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. It’s obviously pre-owned so does have a few very light signs of being played, but overall in great condition. No paint chips or anything like that. The switch tip looks to be from a Strat of it may just be what they fitted this with, we are not sure. Complete with Telecaster hard case with key.
