Fender Japan Stratocaster 1972 Reissue Unique Custom Finish California Blue CIJ

Fender Japan Stratocaster 1972 Reissue Unique Custom Finish California Blue CIJ

£1,395.00Price

Here is probably the only Fender Japan 1972 Stratocaster reissue you will ever see in California Blue! It was a one-off finish probably for a Japanese store. We have included the original (expired) Japanese shop sale warranty card as provenance that this was factory finished from Fender Japan. It is a CIJ P-serial from 1999-2002. Aside from the rarity value, this is a great guitar! It has a well balanced Sen ash body, with a 7.25 radius maple fingerboard. All factory correct with 6 saddles, 2 string trees, F-Stamped 3 bolt neck plate, thinner neck with skunk stripe, large resonant 70’s headstock with bullet truss rod access, Gotoh tuners & and black/white plastic hardware. Really resonant unplugged and feels great to play, plenty of bite in the USA made single coils. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No breaks, repairs, routing or modifications. It weighs in at 3.6kg. Some playwear as you’d expect for the age, but no paint chips, just some scuffing and little bumps here & there with some light sticker shadows. Complete with correct black tipped tremolo arm, original period correct Fender Japan softcase and expired shop warranty card containing the guitar's serial number.

At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select every guitar we offer, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special.  All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. Please do not offer us TRADES or part exchange, thanks. We cannot always get back to your requests if you do so. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK.
