Fender Japan Rare Vintage 1986 FujiGen Built Telecaster Custom 1962 Reissue MIJ

Here is a very rare vintage 1986 FujiGen built 1962 reissue Telecaster from Fender Japan. It is an MIJ A-Serial (pencil dated on neck heel under clear coat to 1986). It has a fully bound lightweight alder body with 3-ply cream pickguard, really nice dark and dense rosewood fingerboard, full cream body binding (now very yellowed), 3 spiral saddles, fender stamped bridge plate and Fender stamped neck plate. As mentioned this one has a very dark slab rosewood fingerboard (vintage 7.25 radius). The USA built Texas Special pickups sound amazing. Plenty of bite and twang and a great Tele action. Really resonant too when unplugged and feels great to play. Nice and light for and alder Tele at 3.6kg. Structurally and electrically sound. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications (save for a vintage Strat style switch tip), it is all factory stock. It has the looks of a killer vintage Telecaster. The double body binding has naturally aged to yellow, which always looks amazing against a piano black body. There is obviously playwear, given the age, but it looks all the better for it. You get all the good vintage ageing and none of the bad. A beautifully aged Fender Tele with heaps of Mojo and stories to tell. It’s well on the way to being a real old vintage stunner. Complete with fitted Telecaste hardcase with key. A very cool '62 RI Fender FujiGen Telecaster, this one is definitely a keeper.
