Fender Japan Mustang '69 RI Scarce 1997 CIJ O-Serial Yellow White MIJ

Cool old '69 Reissue CIJ O-Serial (1997-2000) Fender Mustang in one of the best Mustang colours, factory vintage White/Yellow. This is Japanese built, not Mexican. Like all MIJ/CIJ Mustangs it's true to the vintage Fender spec, with the '69 contoured poplar body, 7.25 radius Indian rosewood fingerboard, button tuners, 3-ply tort pickguard and fender stamped neckplate. It plays like a dream too, very resonant with plenty of Mustang attitude. The Indian rosewood fingerboard is beautifully grained. There have been no breaks or repairs. Neck dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Nice and light at 3kg. Structurally and electrically sound. Complete with gig-bag and a 5mm threaded MIJ tremolo arm, which just pushes in and locks as normal. Built immaculately as you’d expect from Fender Japan. Showing plenty of wear commensurate with age, think bumps, scrapes, scuffs and patchy discolouration with the metal hardware showing some patina and paint crack lines on the body coming out from the neck pocket (common on poly finished Fender Japan guitars). We also replaced both of the sliding switches.  It's a very cool 1969 vintage specification reissue Mustang with plenty of stories to tell.
