Vintage Mid-80's Fender FujiGen Telecaster 1952 Reissue Butterscotch Blonde

Up for grabs is this very cool vintage mid 1980’s ash bodied 1952 reissue Fender Telecaster. It’s a very early one, made for Fender at the renowned FujiGen Gakki in Japan between 1985-86 (MIJ A-Serial). It has plenty of real world vintage wear so if you like shiny new Mexican Fenders stop reading now. If like me you prefer vintage Japanese Fenders with plenty of mojo then this is an absolute no-brainer. It has a fantastic looking old warrior with a butterscotch ash body, thin maple neck and 7.25 radius maple fingerboard. The old ash is very resonant and feels great to play, with plenty of Tele twang and some real bite in this one. The neck is worn satin smooth and the fingerboard has some small bumps and divots in it but it’s just cosmetic. The frets have been replaced and show no wear. A good weight for an old FujiGen ash-built Fender Tele at 3.2kg, they usually go a lot heavier. Neck dead straight & truss rod fine. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks, repairs or routing This thing looks amazing, it's well along the road to being a true vintage looker. The finish has taken on a dull sheen over the decades which looks very cool. The largest blemish is the scar you can see on the front below the bridge. Looks like the neck serial is gone so we have dated it by the A stamped bridge. No pencil date on the on this one; some FujiGens have them & some don’t. The pickguard has been replaced with a single-ply white. And the neck plate has either been cleaned or replaced with a vintage correct ‘F’ stamped plate. The pots have also been upgraded. Complete with gigbag. Definitely one of the cooler MIJ ‘52s we’ve had in recently.
