Vintage Japanese Tokai Hard Puncher PB P-bass 1981 Original MIJ Japan Precision
Cool vintage 1984 Japanese Tokai Hard Puncher Precision bass. These old Japanese Tokai’s are the real deal; some of the best vintage Precision bass clones out there. Tokai later began building for Fender Japan so you basically have a really early model JV-era Fender Japan P-Bass here. The quality is exceptional. This one is well along the road to being a real vintage looker. It looks and feels like a nitrocellulose finish but may just be very thin poly. Lovely looking vintage sunburst painted over an alder body. There are some dings/scratches, paint wear on the bass as you’d expect which makes it look better in our opinion. Check out the pics! It plays beautifully and the old wood and thin finish makes this feelvery resonant. Great weight too at 4kg. The neck is fast and dead straight, truss rod is working fine and years left in the frets. This thing is a dream to play and has the classic looks of a true vintage aged 50's style Precision bass. There is a little lifting of the clearcoat on the headstock as shown in the pics. Complete with Fender padded softcase.
At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK.
