Vintage 1990 Fender FujiGen Stratocaster 1962 RI Olympic White Kurt Cobain Nirva
Vintage Fender 1962 Reissue Stratocaster in cool vintage Olympic White. It’s an early Fender Japan Stratocaster finished on 26th September 1990 at the legendary FujiGen plant with 10/26/90 pencilled on neck heel under the clearcoat. This is exactly the same model/year as the first Oly white Strat Kurt played on tour with L7 back in 1990. He played this model with on & off with Nirvana from around 1990 -’92 (they became his disposable strats). Anyway it’s in great condition for a 30+-year old guitar. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, still plenty of life left in the frets. Very resonant with a dark and dense slab rosewood fingerboard (7.25 radius). Fender Stamped steel saddles and FujiGen-era Fender stamped neckplate. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. No modifications. Some playwear little bumps and nicks around the edges and some dimples on the front. It has a great genuine vintage vibe with all the plastic hardware yellowing and the metal hardware taking on a dull patina all over. No back plate but replacements can be had cheaply. All the good gentle aging with none of the nasty stuff. Complete with tremolo arm & period correct Fender Japanese gig-bag. A very cool old ’62 RI Strat. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the U.S, Canada, Australia, Europe and of course the UK.
