Vintage 1989 Fender FujiGen Stratocaster 1962 RI Olympic White Kurt Cobain Nirva
Here we have a cool Fender 1962 Reissue Stratocaster in vintage Olympic White. It’s an early Fender Japan Stratocaster from 1989 (MIJ F-Serial, pencil dated 9.19.89 on the neck heel under the clear coat) This is exactly the same model/year as the first Oly white Strat Kurt played on tour with L7 back in 1990. He played this model on & off with Nirvana from around 1990 -’92 (they became his disposable strats). It’s an old guitar now with plenty of playwear and looks all the better for it. The fingerboard has a non-factory scallop. It has been done well too, the playability is perfect. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, still plenty of life left in the frets. Very resonant with a dark and dense slab rosewood fingerboard (7.25 radius). Fender Stamped steel saddles and FujiGen-era Fender stamped neckplate. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. Weight 3.4kg. There are bumps, dings and paint nicks around the edges and some dimples on the front. It has a great genuine vintage vibe with all the plastic hardware yellowing and the metal hardware taking on a dull patina all over. No back plate but replacements can be had cheaply if you want one. Complete with tremolo arm & period correct gig-bag. A very cool old ’62 RI Strat. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
