Vintage 1988 Gibson ES 335 Dot Reissue Yamano Selected w/ Docs

£3,295.00Price

Where do I start with this one? It’s a beautiful 1988 vintage sunburst Gibson ES 335 Dot. It is a fully documented Yamano export. Built in Nashville and hand selected by Yamano for export to Japan. Unlike many that didn’t make the cut this one actually ended up in Japan. It’s fully original just as it came out of Gibson’s Nashville factory back in 1988. Just light playwear. Some lovely subtle vintage ageing all over the plastics with the white binding turning yellow and the metal hardware nicely tarnished. Neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets, which still have their nibs. Has a Bill Lawrence in the bridge and a Tim Shaw in the neck. They both sound fantastic together. Factory fitted grovers have taken on a dull grey patina and working fine. There have been no breaks or repairs. Nicely balanced & weighs in at 4.1kg. It is complete with its original tan, pink-lined Gibson HSC still with shroud. Case is functioning fine, latches dulled over the years. Comes with original Japanese Yamano certificate and expired 1980's Gibson USA warranty card. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story, this is a beautiful 335.
