Here is a real timewarp vintage 1980 Japanese Tokai LS-50 'Reborn' Les Paul Vintage Sunburst. Vintage Tokai (’78-’85) are our absolute favourite lawsuit style Japanese single-cuts. This one is a stunner, with a really nice vintage honey sunburst. Non chambered with a three piece top, solid '59 profile neck carve and Indian rosewood fingerboard. Weight is great at 4.1. Beautifully balanced with a smooth forgiving action. Neck straight, plenty of life in the frets and truss rod working fine. Being a Reborn it still has the model number '50' stamped on the last fret. The 'Reborn' was the first in the LS series built before the 'Love Rock', with the transitional ‘Reborn Old’ briefly sandwiched in between. This one is quite simply in astounding condition; the best example of a Reborn we've had through the doors. The Japanese kids mostly wanted Gibsons at the time and therefore the Tokais and other Japanese-built clones got used and abused; which is how they usually turn up. This one looks like it has spent most of its life locked up in its case. The little specs you can see on the top by the knobs are just case dust. There are a couple of little bumps on the neck. But otherwise nothing notable at all. No harsh buckle wear etc, no headstock chips etc.  It comes with its original green-lined & plated Tokai plated HSC, which is in fine working condition and still has the key. It also contains the original 1980 Japanese Tokai fold-out booklet with the serial printed on (the only one we have ever seen!) This really is one of the best examples of a Reborn left out there. Don't miss it. In our opinion the LS-50s are the absolute best bang for buck vintage Japanese Les Pauls, and as such are a great investment, especially in this condition.

We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special.  All pictures are of actual guitar, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
