Scarce Fender Japan Domestic Only Vintage Series 1962 Reissue Stratocaster w/ To
You are looking at Fender Japan’s top of the line 1962 RI Stratocaster in three tone sunburst built exclusively for the Japanese market. It’s an ST62 DMC VSP which features some amazing specs including nitrocellulose lacquer over a solid 2 piece alder body, slab Indian rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25 radius, 3 x black bobbin Dimarzio DSC-1 single coil pickups, premium quality USA CTS pots and Switchcraft five way switch. It was part Fender Japan’s Vintage Special Project series which was all about representing the absolute finest build quality Fender Japan has to offer. This one was built between 2007-10 (MIJ T-Serial). It’s a beautiful looking Strat, with a really warm three-tone sunburst. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine with some visible wear in the frets but plenty of life left in them. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. No breaks or repairs. It’s had a black three-ply Fender Japan pickguard fitted but no other modificatons. No plastic black plate but these can be picked up very cheaply if you want one. There is some playwear, a few little nicks in the lacquer but nothing big or ugly. Nothing bad has ever happened to this guitar. Complete with tremolo arm & gig-bag. Fender Japan’s VSP guitars are rare to find outside of Japan and are on par in every respect with the U.S. American Vintage collection guitars, except with Japanese craftsmanship thrown in as an added bonus. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
