Rare Grunge-Era Fender Japan 1962 RI Stratocaster Trans Red Charcoal Burst 1994
Here is a cool old Grunge-era Fender FujiGen built 1962 RI Stratocaster ST62G. It’s a Candy Apple Red translucent charcoal burst finish ’62 RI with all gold hardware. It has a great looking American Basswood body, with maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard. It was built at Fender’s legendary FujiGen plant and it an MIJ O-serial putting the build date between 1994-95. A good Strat weight at 3.3kg. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. Complete with gigbag & gold trem arm. Has a bit of wear as you’d expect from the age, no big paint chips on the body, just small bumps. If you are looking for something that will stand out or appreciate in value the rarer Fender Japan guitars are the way to go. These were made in limited numbers and will never be made again. Complete with period correct Fender gigbag and original Fender Japan Sales card.
