RARE! 2004 Fender ST68-JH Jimi Hendrix Strat - Crafted in Japan
Here is a very scarce Fender Japan model. It is a 1968 reissue left handed Stratocaster in factory finished Olympic White (ST68-TX) with a real Hendrix vibe. These Fender Japan 68's don’t come up often, especially left handed, and were produced in much smaller numbers than the ST-57s & 62s etc. This one was built in Japan back in 2004-2005 (CIJ R-serial, Tokai Gakki) it has a resonant alder body, stripeless maple neck, the cool larger resonant ’68 headstock, 4 bolt neck plate, stamped steel saddles and 3 x killer sounding USA Texas Special single coil pickups and a 3-ply white MIJ pickguard. What's more it is in beautiful condition for a CIJ. The neck is dead straight, truss rod fine and plenty of life left in the frets. Weight is 3.7kg. No structural or electrical issues. There is some nice smooth wear around the top & bottom edge and a little well worn in paint chip on the bottom edges which you can see in the pics. It kind of adds to the overall mojo of this one. If you’re not interested in souless Mexican Fender reissues and are after something a bit special this is the one for you. Complete with Stratocaster hardcase with key. A great chance to pick up a very rare Fender Japan beauty.
