Beautiful USA Gibson Custom Shop Japanese Export Historic 1957 (R7) Reissue Cherry Red Standard w/ Bigsby. This is a very special one, selected from Gibson’s U.S Custom Shop for export from USA to Japan when new in 2013. We don’t see many of these. Cherry Red nitro finished. In gently played condition. It is all factory correct including factory fitted Bigsby. Not aftermarket. Nice and clean overall with lightly some rubbed dullness of the nitro with age. Nitrocellulose finish looks and feels very thin, you can see the ridges of actual maple grain standing out when angled towards light. Lots of life left in the frets, the truss rod is fine and the neck is dead straight. A nice medium action with a good chunky ’57 profile neck. Weight is 4.47kg. One or two small fine scratches, tiny indents here & there etc but in fine condition overall no big ugly marks and obviously no breaks, repair or mods etc. No problems either structurally or electrically. Complete with original Custom Shop Gibson Lifton style hardcase which is in clean condition with working latches. Comes with all case candy. A very rare guitar hands selected by Gas Station Guitars from Japan.
