Greco Vintage Stratocaster Matsumoku Built 1970's Olympic White Ash Pre-FujiGen
Up for grabs is this cool old vintage Japanese Matsumoko built Greco Stratocaster with a classic vintage Strat tone. Back from the days before Greco were putting serials on their guitars. Aged Olympic White finish which is now more buttery cream. It has a very solid comfortable maple neck with a maple fingerboard and ash body, 5-way switching and 2 of its original maxon pickups. Built around the mid 1970’s judging by the headstock script. Not for the faint hearted, there is plenty of vintage playwear, discolouration etc. it’s well along the road to being a classic roadworn vintage Strat. The maple board has stained nice and dark over the decades. All the metal hardware is oxidised to hell & back. As mentioned, the pickups sound immense; loud and crunchy but with plenty of Strat quack when needed. The middle one has been replaced somewhere over the decades. The ash feels very old, solid but resonant. A good weight for one of these ash Matsumoko Stats at 3.5kg. Neck is straight and plenty of life in the frets. A cool old vintage Japanese lawsuit Stratocaster. Complete with generic gigbag.

We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitar, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
