Greco Rare Vintage SA900 Semi-Acoustic 1978 Figured Tobacco Sunburst w/ OHSC

Stunning vintage 1978 Greco SA900 in figured warm Tobacco sunburst finish. Handbuilt at the legendary FujiGen plant in Japan. It's a high-end Japanese ES-335 that looks to be in fully complete condition right down to its original Greco plated HSC. It's is a beautiful looking 335 clone with a dark maple flames & matched top and a full nitrocellulose finish. Set-neck of course (not a cheaper bolt-on). A lovely dark rosewood fingerboard with fret edge binding (nibs). Some of the pickup ring screws were rusted so we didn't remove them, but based on the previous 1978 SA900s we have had in we're pretty sure it still has its original braided wire U-4000 PAF Style Maxon humbuckers. This guitar came straight from Japan and hasn't been messed with. Comfortable 3 peice 1960's profile neck. Obviously has some vintage ageing all over the plastics with the white binding yellowing nicely & the metal hardware naturally tarnished giving it a cool vintage vibe. You can feel the resonant old growth wood as soon as you start playing. It feels solid and plays like a good old vintage 335 should. Straight neck, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets. No breaks or repairs anywhere. In much better condition that we usually find with these old Japanese semi-acoustics. Some ageing to the body or course. Most noticeable being scratches. Some of the usual tiny binding cracks etc. All the metal hardware has that dull vintage oxidation going on. All the usual vintage 335 stuff basically. Definitely one of the better looking and plating SA 900’s left out there. Complete with original blue lined & plated Greco HSC. Latches working & in excellent condition.
