Gibson Wine Red Les Paul Standard Non Chambered 2000 with HSC
Here is a cool old Wine Red Gibson Les Paul Standard from 2000. It was built in Gibson’s Nashville plant and finished on April 13th 2000. It’s from a great period in Gibson’s history and you can rest assured very good tonewoods were used on this one. It’s a beautiful looking wine red, with visible swirling maple quilt and grain underneath. The binding and all the plastics have nicely yellowed due to the age, which always works with this finish. It has a solid and slightly chunkier ‘59 profile neck than we usually find. It is all factory spec and weighs in at a non-chambered 4.2kg. Never been refretted so still has its fret-end binding (nibs). Heaps of life in the frets, the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. No problems either structurally or electrically. No big ugly dings anywhere, no buckle rash etc. Does have some age related dimpling in the nitro on the front and some fine finish checking around the edges and some fine lines in the binding. All good age related wear. Nothing bad has ever happened to it, no breaks, repairs or mods etc. Complete with original pickguard and original pink lined tan Gibson HSC, which is in good condition with working combi lock & latches. A cool old Standard from the good-wood era of Gibson’s history. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
