Gibson Vintage 1996 ES-335 Dot Highly Figured Vintage Sunburst Yamano Order OHSC

Here we have a very special old 335. It’s a  vintage 1996 Yamano vintage sunburst Gibson ES 335 Dot with a striking highly figured look and vintage feel. The late 80’s early 90’s were very good years for 335’s and this one has plenty of vintage mojo going on. It plays superbly, beautifully balanced yet feels very solid and is in full original condition. It has a nice '59 profile neck which feels very comfortable, fast and smooth to play. Build date is October 22nd 1996 at Gibson’s Nashville plant, USA. Like many of the best Gibson guitars of the era, it was exported to Japan by Yamano for it's highly fingured look to retail in the prominent guitar stores over there. Please read up on the Yamano era of Gibson if you are not aware of these amazing guitars. It's 27 years on earth have given it a nice vintage aged feel and look, if you like sterile souls guitars without a blemish on them she ain't for you. This lacquer has taken on a dull sheen and there is finish checking all over, with plenty of bumps and scrapes. There is subtle vintage ageing all over the plastics. The white binding turning cream and the metal hardware dull and tarnished. This one is well along the road to being a real vintage looker. Nothing bad has ever happened to this old girl. The slim 60's neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets, which still have their nibs. The original Classic '57's sound very articulate. Weighs in at 4.1kg. It is complete with its original tan, pink-lined Gibson HSC still with silk shroud and Japanese Yamano booklet and other paperwork. Case is functioning fine, latches dulled over the years. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story, this is a beautiful 335.
