Gibson Vintage 1993 Yamano Order ES-335 '61 RI Slim-Taper Dot Neck Sunburst
Here we have a very special 335. It’s a cool vintage 1993 Yamano vintage sunburst Gibson ES 335 Dot with a real 60’s feel. The late 80’s early 90’s were very good years for 335’s and this one is truly breath-taking. It plays superbly, beautifully balanced yet feels very solid and is in full original condition. It has a thinner 60’s profile neck which feels very comfortable, fast and smooth to play. Build date is April 23rd 1993 at Gibson’s Nashville plant, USA. The binding is nice and tight with no cracking. There is no buckle rash on the back. No notable big blemishes or dings anywhere. Just some blemishes in the finish around the edges and very gentle playwear and some lovely subtle vintage ageing all over the plastics with the white binding turning yellow and the metal hardware dull and nicely tarnished. This one is well along the road to being a real vintage looker. The nitro has that dull look earned over a few decades. Exactly the kind of look Gibson try to replicate on their modern VOS finishes. Neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets, which still have their nibs. Original pickups sound very articulate. Weighs in at 4.1kg. It is complete with its original tan, pink-lined Gibson HSC still with silk shroud. Case is functioning fine, latches dulled over the years. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story, this is a beautiful 335.

We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of the actual guitars, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
