Gibson Vintage 1993 Japanese Yamano Order ES-335 Dot Antique Sunburst w/ OHSC
Here we have a very pretty old 90’s semi-hollow. It’s a beautiful vintage 1999 Antique sunburst Gibson ES-335 Dot with a real vintage feel. It is a Japanese Yamano export, made in the USA and hand-selected by representatives of Yamano whom it is said secured many of the best Gibson guitars from the 90's to mid-2000's. The late 90’s were really good years for 335’s and this one is truly breathtaking. It has some nice subtle maple flame all over the top, back and sides, which I have tried the catch it as best we can but I don’t think the pics do it justice. The little white specs you can see on the top are just dust specs from an extended period sitting in its case. It plays superbly, beautifully balanced yet feels very solid and is in full original condition with a lovely medium action. It has a comfortable 50's profile neck carve, a little more substantial than we usually find on these 90's 335's which often tend to be a bit thinner. The build date is June 21st, 1999 at Gibson’s Nashville plant, USA. Although we picked it up in Japan. The condition is very nice all over. It’s been well looked after. The binding is nice and tight with no cracking. There is no buckle rash on the back. Just very gentle playwear and some lovely subtle vintage ageing all over the plastics with the binding turning off white. It is slowly taking on a beautiful VOS finish, but overall still has it's deep gloss shine. There is a little paint nick on the top edge by the knobs, very small but worth pointing out. It once had its pickguard fitted but no longer has it. Neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets, which still have their nibs. Original pickups sound very articulate. Weighs in at 4.1kg. It is complete with its original tan, pink-lined Gibson HSC still. Case is functioning fine with all latches and combo lock working. Has all its various Japanese Yamano docs included. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story, this is a beautiful 335.
We carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special. All pictures are of actual guitar, we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship to the E.U, Europe, U.S, Canada, Australia, NZ and of course the UK.
