Gibson Vintage 1976 Norlin-Era Les Paul Custom Tobacco Sunburst 'Williamsville''

Here we have a beautiful looking and extremely clean vintage 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom in rare Tobacco Burst finish. This beautiful old Custom is in all original condition and the cleanest we have ever had. There is barely a mark on this thing. It has a beautiful tobacco sunburst carved maple top with 3 piece maple neck and bound ebony fingerboard. The neck has a '59 profile carve with a good strong factory volute and weighs in at a solid 4.8kg. Plenty of life left in the frets, the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. The original T-Top humbucker pair have rare 1976 'Williamsville' stamped bases (a cool throwback to when Norlin took over the Moog music factory in Williamsville, NY around 1975 and outsourced some pickups to be made there, although it's usually only mini-humbuckers that turn up). Anyway the pups sound immense! The original gold hardware includes the Nashville bridge and corresponding stopbar and the headstock retains the original set of Schaller-made and Gibson-branded gold tuning machines with metal tulip buttons. On the back of the headstock, the guitar sports its original stickered serial number. Plastics include the original pickguard, switch surround, and switch tip, with a quartet of modern black reflector cap knobs. All the original gold metal hardware is unusually clean with little of the rubbing back to the silver nickel and oxidisation we usually see. The gloss nitro lacquer finish is 100% original with no touchup or overspray. It has had a refret at some time in its history so there is very little wear in them. There are a few surface scratches but overall is it super clean. All electrics work perfectly and it's a great player with a very easy action. It comes with original purple lined Gibson HSC with all latches working. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story, this is a beautiful vintage 1976 Custom, there are very few left in this condition.
