Here is a rare chance to purchase an all original, Gibson 1957 Reissue Les Paul Custom from 1998. The add to the significance of this one it’s also a Japanese Yamano order. These were specially hand-selected from Gibson’s USA Nashville plant by Japanese representatives of Yamano to be taken back to Japan for sale. This has no paperwork but we purchased it and brought it back from Japan. It’s a stunning looking and playing Black Beauty. The top has a superb carve to it. In nice condition for an early 90’s Custom too. It is one of the most resonant and open Customs I’ve ever played and the original ’57 Classics sound superb; these were Gibson’s first attempt at a proper PAF replica. It's pretty weighty at 5.1kg, but it has all the sustain you could ever want. Neck is a nice and chunky 1958 profile carve. It has a dense Ebony fingerboard. Condition wise it is just the playwear you'd expect commensurate with the year. It’s been well looked after. No paint chips or anything like that. No history of breaks or repairs. Neck is dead straight truss rod checked and functioning fine, plenty of life left in the frets, which still have their nibs. Complete with the classic original "Custom Art" era purple velvet-lined black hardshell case in fine working condition. The '98 historics did not come with a COA. This is an absolutely stunning custom. If you are looking for the ultimate 90’s Gibson Black Beauty, this is probably it. I’ll let the pics tell the rest of the story…

At Gas Station Guitars we carefully hand-select all our guitars and refuse a lot more than we accept, if they don’t blow us away on all fronts, we just don’t put them in our shop; if it’s for sale by Gas Station Guitars, you know it’d gonna be pretty special.  All pictures are of actual guitars, all guitars are in hand and we do not use stock photos. NOT FOR TRADE or part exchange, thanks. We ship worldwide to the USA, E.U, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan and of course the UK.
