Gibson Memphis ES-355 Limited Run w/Gold HW & Bigsby Cherry 2006 Ebony Board

Here we have a beautiful example of Gibson's Rolls Royce of hollow body guitars. It's a stunning 2006 Gibson Memphis Block VOS 1960's Cherry ES-355 with factory Bigsby, ebony fingerboard and all gold hardware. A real Johnny Marr vibe to this thing. A superb example of this limited run 355 from Gibson’s now closed Memphis factory. These old Memphis semi-hollows were made to custom shop specs. Most 355s are specced with richlite fingerboards but this one was destined for the Japanese market which it perhaps why it got an Ebony fingerboard. Everything feels right about it, sound, balance and action. Nice thick neck, just a whisker bigger than a standard '59 but not quite a '58. All factory spec, no mods, breaks, repairs etc. Weight is good at 4.2kg. It has some natural playwear with dullness of the gold hardware, some light scratches and light patina all over. It looks great! No big paint chips or anything like that. Structurally and electrically sound. No issues at all. Neck is dead straight, truss rod fine, plenty of life left in the frets which have been replaced. Complete with original hardcase and Japanese Yamano certificate with individual serial number printed on, important for provenance. It’s a nice worn in example of Gibson's top of the line Semi-hollow.
