Gibson Les Paul Standard Premium + Flametop Yamano Order Piezo Mod w/ OHSC

Up for grabs here is an absolutely gorgeous non-chambered Gibson Japanese Yamano Ordered Les Paul Standard Premium Plus Iced Tea Burst from 2004. This is a superb example of a Yamano export, who’s reps it is said secured many of the greatest Les Paul Standard & Classic tops of the 90’s & 2000’s and took them to Japan for retail. This beautiful Standard Premium Plus flametop is in incredibly clean condition, with very strong flame and maple graining throughout. It has a top quality R9 feel to it. It was built in Gibson’s Nashville plant and finished on July 14th 2004, which is just before Gibson introduced chambering on their standards so yes, it’s non-chambered. It has a 1960 profile neck (LP6). There are a couple of mods worth noting, firstly it’s had a really nice clear chiming piezo active acoustic pickup (Fishman powerbridge) added which can be toggled on & off via a small switch located with the control knob configuration. Very simple to use and a really beautiful resonant tone. Toggle up bypasses the humbuckers for a very authentic acoustic sound, middle position is a mix and switched down brings you back to the humbuckers, which can be controlled as normal by the knobs. It’s actually a really cool little mod. Speaking of which it’s has some great sounding Seymor Duncan APH-1 Alnico Pro IIs for all the Slash tones you could want. As mentioned above, everything is super clean on this guitar. There is still plenty of life in the frets (never had a refret so still has its fret end binding), the truss rod is fine and the neck is straight. No problems either structurally or electrically. Nice light unchambered weight is 4kg. Nothing bad has ever happened to it with absolutely no breaks or repairs etc. The little white specs you can see on the headstock are just dust. Comes with its original unused pickguard (never fitted, so screw holes in the guitar), pre-pack checklist and Japanese booklet. Complete with its original Gibson HSC which is in good condition with all latches working. A rare chance to get your hands on a top quality Yamano Les Paul Standard Ptemoum Plus with a really exceptional top, much better than your average Standard.
